Cable TV installers establish and maintain cable lines for customers. In this role, you install cable systems in client homes or offices, testing them to ensure they work properly. You may also make modifications to current cable wiring to enable them to with updated technology. While part of your work takes place inside a home or building, you may also be responsible for hanging cables from towers and poles. Most of your repair work takes place when these pole connections suffer damage from weather, animals, or other sources. If the client experiences any problems, you troubleshoot the issue and make repairs when necessary. Cable TV installers most commonly work in residential homes, apartments, and commercial buildings with cable connections.

Omni Com is hiring experienced and entry-level technicians. One to two years of fiber-industry experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include installing and repairing cable TV, high-speed internet, drops, outlets, modems, and digital equipment in residential and commercial buildings. Technicians will troubleshoot services, measure signals, complete self-QC inspections, submit photos, maintain equipment and inventory, educate customers, and provide excellent customer service.
Applicants must communicate effectively, follow safety procedures, and work independently. Must be able to carry and maneuver an 80-pound, 28-foot ladder and work outdoors, in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and various weather conditions.
Training may be available for qualified applicants.
