Integrated Cable Systems (ICS), a Trexon Company, is a leading manufacturer serving the Aerospace and Defense industries, specializing in high-quality wire harness and cable assembly. Located in Longmont, Colorado, ICS is currently seeking a Production Lead to join our team in our dynamic wire harness manufacturing facility.We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in wire harness and cable assembly within the Aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional technical skills and leadership capabilities to ensure the delivery of precise, high-quality assemblies that meet rigorous industry standards.
As a Production Lead, you will play a key role in driving daily and weekly production goals, collaborating with team members, and upholding a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, a strong communicator, and takes pride in leading by example while fostering a productive and supportive team environment.
Compensation: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
A full benefits package is available, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
Schedule
  • Full-Time - On-site
  • Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Overtime: Flexibility to work overtime as needed is required

Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and technical assistance to Assembly Technicians to support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and management team to monitor, evaluate, and report on productivity levels.
  • Communicate expectations clearly to manufacturing team members and ensure alignment with production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all plans, specifications, and standards set by the customer, vendor, and company during the assembly of products.
  • Enforce and administer all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor in resolving production or quality issues that may impact future production or customer schedules.
  • Evaluate production needs daily and assign duties accordingly (e.g., tooling, training).
  • Recommend improvements or updates to work procedures to support production efficiency and quality standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections when necessary and accurately document required data.
  • Verify that all procedures and tasks are completed correctly and in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage technician work order queues to ensure maximum productivity throughout the shift.
  • Provide close supervision and process oversight for new hires transitioning from training to active production.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment with all employees.
  • Actively seek and promote opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in wire harness and cable assembly.
  • Proven ability to assemble and fabricate wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Technical Proficiency:
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, drawing notes, and assembly procedures.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, scales, and calipers.
  • Competent in using hand tools, soldering irons, and specialized assembly equipment.

Quality & Inspection:
  • Attention to detail with a strong sense of quality and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Capable of conducting inspections and testing to ensure assemblies meet quality and functionality standards.

Computer Skills:
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Communication & Language:
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Other Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
