Description
Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business since 1936, is hiring Cable Technicians at our Chandler, AZ office. Candidates for the Cable Technician role must have prior experience with Cat5e, Cat6, punch downs, cable pulling, terminations, and testing. Fiber Optic experience is strongly preferred (terminating and testing) but not required. The wage range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 an hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibilities
1. Run, terminate, pull, and test copper cable
2. Install and terminate fiber optic cable
3. Test and troubleshoot a variety of cable types
4. Follow work procedures and company policies
5. Maintain cleanliness and safety on the job site
6. Submit required documentation in an accurate and timely manner
7. Assist with all aspects of the project as needed
8. Manage inventory of equipment, tools, and parts.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High School diploma or GED with a valid driver's license
2. 1+ year/s Cable Technician experience installing low voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cable)
3. Experience with punch downs, terminations, pulling, and testing
4. Ability to read Blueprints
5. Strong customer service and communication skills
6. Must have own tools
7. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to bend, stoop, reach, and climb.
