Mann Wireless is a well-established company that specializes in DAS and public safety in-building communications systems (we make cell phones and emergency responder radios work in buildings). To learn more, visit www. mannwireless.com.


We are seeking direct-hire Field Technicians. Responsibilities include assisting with the installation and construction of various distributed antennas systems and completing the troubleshooting and maintenance of in-building wireless communication systems. The ideal candidate will also become familiar with RF concepts and best practices and be exposed to a variety of test equipment. All experience levels will be considered. Training will be provided!


This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position!


Responsibilities include:

• Installation of Fiber Optic Cables and Fiber Optic RF Electronics

• Terminate & Test Coaxial Cables.

• Label Test and Document Cable Installation

• Conduct radio signal testing using RS scanners and spectrum analyzers.

• Perform design site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs.

• Installation and repair of distributed Antenna System (DAS) electronics

• Maintain test equipment and tools for continuous use.

• Travel to various job sites.


Compensation and Benefits:

Requirements:


Relevant experience in a related field such as: Two-way Radio Communications, Electrical Work, Building Wiring, Fire Alarm Service and Installation, Telecommunications Technician, Cellular DAS systems or Building Security and Automation is strongly preferred. Trade or technical education and/or related military experience desired.


Job Requirements:

• Must take pride in their work, must be dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction

• Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment used in the electrical trade such as power supplies and multimeters is desired but not required. Training is provided.

• Basic understanding of RF / Wireless / Electrical theory is desired

• 1 to 4 years of construction or related experience. Previous experience with DAS construction and/or other cellular systems is a bonus.

• General construction knowledge and know-how. Existing OSHA certifications are a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret cabling diagrams and construction drawings.

• Proficient with using various tools such as drills, saws, torque wrenches, crimpers, etc.

• Must have a clean driving record – Excellent Safe Driving Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50', climb ladders and to stand/walk during the workday

• High attention to detail with the ability to effectively discuss and document technical issues.

• Ability to strictly follow procedures and work instructions.

• Ability to read building floor plans and wiring diagrams.

• Must be highly dependable and able to work flexible hours with early morning starts and overtime work when required.

• Must be well organized with the ability to maintain a clean service vehicle and work areas.

• Must have good communications skills and works well with others.

• Must be solution-oriented with a positive can-do work attitude.

• Must be able to travel Monday-Friday overnight. Home on weekends. Travel fully compensated.
