Job Title: Cable Technician
Location: Jeffersonville, IN
Pay Rate: Starting at $22/hr

Having been around for over a decade, our client provides the resources necessary for their team members to excel and reach their career goals in the communications industry.
Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced OSP Fiber Installers for a contract to permanent opportunity, to help with the troubleshooting of fiber optic cable. The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Basic scope of work includes:
  • Testing/Troubleshooting of Fiber optic cables.
  • Knowledge of Telecom systems & wireless solutions.
  • Experience working in confined spaces (Manholes), Aerial, etc..
  • Must have experience with installing & handling various fiber optic cable types including single mode & multimode.

Skills Required:
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in commercial cabling
  • Experience splicing ribbon and/or loose-tube fibers is a plus
  • Experience with data center build-outs including cage builds, infrastructure and rack & equipment installs
  • Experience with OTDR, OLTS, VFL & Fluke Testing equipment is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret Network Diagrams and/or detailed instructions
