The Cabinet Service & Warranty Technician is responsible for resolving cabinet quality and warranty issues after installation, ensuring every customer receives the finished product they were promised. Reporting to the Warranty Supervisor, this role travels to job sites and customer homes to diagnose problems, complete punch list items, and perform repairs, finish restoration, and touch-up work using general woodworking and finishing skills.
Requirements
• Fix cabinet problems using general woodworking and cabinet installation skills
• Work closely with the Customer Service and Warranty Supervisor to complete punch lists.
• Work with contractors and customers to understand issues
• Produce timely and detailed service reports utilizing provided reporting tools.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner
• Fix problems using finish restoration and touch-up skills
• Clean and maintain vehicle
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Provide solutions to problems presented at the field installation site
• Maintain a safe and quality-based effort for any products that are processed.
• Develop skills and proficiency at assigned tasks.
• Process work in a timely, quality-focused manner.
• Display a basic understanding of the information contained in the cabinet layout drawings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Familiarity with different types of wood, stains, paints, varnishes, and tools used for finishing
• Knowledge of safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Understanding of various cabinet finishing and installation techniques
• Ability to notice and correct imperfections
• Skills in mixing and matching colors to achieve the desired finish
• Efficiency in managing time to complete tasks within deadlines
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
• Ability to work well within a team to achieve common goals
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all work
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record, with ability to travel to field/job sites as dispatched
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily route with minimal supervision while representing the company professionally on-site
