Cabinet Repair Technician - Entry Level
Furniture Medic Premier STL is well established in the St. Louis area, offering furniture repair and refinishing, cabinetry repair and fabrication and custom woodworking services. We have provided the St. Louis area with furniture and cabinetry services for over 16 years and pride ourselves in excellent service to our repeat clients and strive to satisfy our new clients with our repair expertise and customer service. We are a small shop and work together to produce solutions for our client's repair needs with kindness and respect.
We have an immediate opportunity for a full time entry level Cabinet Repair Technician. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn the trade of cabinet repair and rebuilding and would like to grow in experience. Our technicians are dependable, respectful, focused, and friendly. We work onsite in our customers' homes and in the shop. Duties will include detaching cabinets, stabilizing countertops, sanding and prepping cabinets for refinishing, rebuilding cabinet boxes and resetting cabinets at the completion of the project. In addition to cabinet repair and rebuilding- we also repair and restore furniture. We would be looking to cross train a candidate in all fields with a focus on cabinetry.
Candidate must be able to lift 50+ pounds when safely moving pieces from onsite to shop.
Qualifications:
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with common power and hand tools
  • Trade or vocational school experience a plus
  • Cabinetry experience or carpentry skills a plus
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze and troubleshoot unique repair situations
  • Able to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Able to work individually and in teams.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Able to lift 50 + pounds and be able to navigate stairs.
  • Be able to accurately read and interpret a tape measure.
  • Able to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools.
  • Able to consistently determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work.

We offer:
  • Hourly wage based on experience. $18-20/hr to start
  • Transportation to the job site, tools and uniform provided.
  • In-depth product and installation training provided.
  • Opportunity to grow with the company.
  • Two weeks' vacation, personal days (after 90 days) and holidays
  • Benefits include medical reimbursement.
  • Monday thru Friday
  • Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
