A cabinet designer creates custom storage solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, and offices by consulting with clients, measuring spaces, and drafting detailed layouts. They are responsible for optimizing space, choosing materials, using CAD software, and ensuring the final product meets functional and aesthetic standards

  • Consultation & Measurement: Meet with clients, conduct in-home site measurements, and understand their storage needs, style preferences, and budget.
  • Design & Drafting: Create detailed technical drawings, floor plans, and 3D renderings using industry software (e.g., 2020 Design, Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD).
  • Material Selection: Provide expert recommendations on wood species, finishes, countertops, and hardware.
  • Project Management: Prepare cost estimates, bid proposals, and work orders, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.

Collaboration: Coordinate with manufacturing teams, production departments, and installers to ensure designs are successfully executed

  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of 2020 Design, Cabinet Vision, or comparable CAD software.
