With more than 55 sports, entertainment, and public assembly projects and over 2,000 consulting engagements, CAA ICON has managed the development of many of the most successful venues around the world, spanning 11 professional sports leagues, totaling nearly $40 billion. CAA ICON offers world-class service in the areas of project management, strategic advisory, feasibility and planning, and beyond.
The Role
The Office of General Counsel at CAA ICON is looking for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to effectively prioritize and organize a substantial amount of work. We are eager to train the right person, provided you are hardworking and willing to learn. If you want to be part of a fast-paced environment and can work with constant time demands, you will enjoy this position.
Tasks will vary, but day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:
  • Assist in the drafting and distributing of certain project management agreements, purchase orders, change orders, and other documents related to active construction/development project sites
  • Assist in the drafting and distributing of NDAs and other transactional agreements
  • Draft summaries of certain agreements
  • Coordinate with team members on assigned tasks
  • For the Office of General Counsel, calendar dates and deadlines, maintain a detailed tracking database for all issued agreements and tasks, coordinate appointments and team events, coordinate travel, complete expense reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Assist on special projects as needed
  • Assist in meetings
  • Must be very good at managing own responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Able to handle multiple projects at once
  • Tech savvy; knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Good writing skills, great attention to detail, and the desire to succeed; excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must
  • Liaise with multiple external legal counsels on active litigation cases, subpoenas, and contracts

Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant administrative assistant experience
  • Good verbal and written communication; excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with team members and Company clients, and to respond effectively and quickly to their needs and issues; meet commitments and effectively manage expectations
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook
  • Handle confidential information discreetly and with sensitivity
  • High level of organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills while maintaining client service orientation
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail

Location
This role will be on-site out of the Denver, Colorado office.
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $27.00 - $32.00. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus.
