Job Title: .NET Software Developer & IT Specialist

Location: Onsite at 167 Hwy. 59, Richmond, KS 66080

FLSA Status: Full-Time Exempt

Reports To: General Manager

Salary: 80K + Depending on experience

Job Summary

The Software Developer & Information Technology Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining in-house applications — including the company's pricing system, currently being built out in .NET on a SQL database — managing the ESI phone system and custom point-of-sale system, supporting the company Cisco Meraki network, and addressing the day-to-day technology needs of employees. The role is development-heavy, with the majority of time spent writing and maintaining code, and the use of AI coding tools is a standard part of the workflow. Due to the hands-on nature of technical support, system administration, and software development, the role requires most work hours to be performed on-site, with some remote flexibility as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Software Development (~70%)

  • Maintain and develop enterprise applications, with a primary focus on the company's in-house pricing system, built in .NET on a SQL database.
  • Support and help transition remaining legacy systems (written across ASP/C#, Ruby on Rails, and VB) as part of the ongoing move to the new platform.
  • Use AI coding tools as a standard part of the day-to-day development workflow.

IT Operations & Support (~30%)

  • Maintain servers hosting the company's IP phone system, accounting, manufacturing, and file servers.
  • Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
  • Set up, manage, and maintain IT-related equipment.
  • Support and maintain the company's point-of-sale system.
  • Monitor backup jobs and ensure a high level of completion success rate.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.
  • Provide excellent customer service and reflect our company's core values at all times.
  • Manage time and projects effectively.
  • Help put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
  • Train staff with IT-related equipment.
  • Maintain and grow the technology infrastructure of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Information Technology and code development experience, particularly with .NET and SQL
  • Requires strong math aptitude
  • Any combination of job-related experience and/or training, which would produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  • Requires knowledge and experience developing with .NET and SQL databases; familiarity with legacy web stacks (ASP/C#, Ruby on Rails, VB) is a plus, as some existing systems are being modernized off of these platforms.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools as part of a modern development workflow.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of hardware and networking fundamentals
  • Able to install, configure, troubleshoot and support both Windows and Linux clients and servers.
  • Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of analytical thinking to solve problems with an understanding of technology and apply solutions to business problems
  • Effective oral, electronic and written communication with all levels of the organization
