Who are you?

You’re motivated, relationship-driven, and ready to grow your career in mortgage lending. At C&N, we’re seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator I to join our Mortgage Lending team. In this role, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the mortgage process while helping clients find home financing solutions that fit their goals. You’ll collaborate with teammates, build community connections, and deliver the trusted, personalized service C&N is known for. You will be responsible for:

1. Client Relationships: Build rapport with clients through clear, friendly communication and assist them throughout the mortgage process—from collecting documents to coordinating closings.

2. Loan Origination: Learn to originate and process conforming and non-conforming residential mortgages while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

3. Networking & Referrals: Develop relationships with centers of influence such as realtors, attorneys, builders, and internal partners to expand C&N’s mortgage presence.

4. Collaboration: Partner with Loan Processors, fellow lenders, and branch teammates to deliver an exceptional client experience.

5. Cross-Selling: Identify client needs and refer additional C&N products and services to provide a full financial solution.

6. Community Involvement: Represent C&N through active participation in local events and initiatives.

Requirements:

Education & Experience – You will need a Bachelor's Degree AND 2-4 years previous related experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a banking environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications – NMLS  (within 1 year of employment)

Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas:

• Proven multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of mortgage lending fundamentals.
• Ability to travel for client and community engagements.
