Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract
Shift: Day
Pay Rate: $60.00 – $67.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to assist physicians and the healthcare team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong cath lab experience, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety.

  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients, and administering contrast when appropriate.

  • Operate fluoroscopy and C-Arm imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Monitor and document patient information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology (EP), and structural heart procedures.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on radiology equipment and report equipment issues promptly.

  • Participate in departmental call rotation and respond to emergency procedures as required.

  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R).

  • Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) – General Certificate.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

  • Experience in Cath Lab procedures.

  • Experience with C-Arm, fluoroscopic procedures, and radiographic imaging.

  • Experience scrubbing EP and structural heart procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of patient care, cardiac procedures, EMR, and PACS systems.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Philips imaging systems.

  • Experience with Epic EMR.

  • Previous experience in a high-volume cardiovascular or interventional radiology environment.
