Job description

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about retail and product development? We're looking for a motivated Buyer Assistant to join our dynamic purchasing team and help bring exciting new products to our customers!

About the Role

As a Buyer Assistant, you'll provide vital administrative and operational support to our Buyer throughout the product lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with our personalization, customer relations, creative services, and distribution center teams to ensure a seamless product journey from concept to showcase.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll assist the Buyer by providing support across a variety of tasks, including:

  • Managing and processing new product information and compliance paperwork
  • Coordinating the ordering, tracking, and receiving of product samples
  • Maintaining and updating buying reports and product detail information
  • Reviewing product copy details to ensure accuracy across descriptions, pricing, and style numbers
  • Supporting supplier compliance efforts related to quality, packaging, and labeling standards
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams including product planning, eCommerce, and creative services
  • Assisting with product showcases, creative photography samples, and file management

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a candidate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a support role. Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred
  • Prior experience in buying, merchandising, or a related field is a plus
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to proof data and copy for accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

Physical Requirements

This is an office-based position that includes:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
