Join Our Team as a General Brokerage Closing Paralegal!


Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for real estate law and a knack for managing closing transactions? Butler & College, LLC, a growing law firm in the Lowcountry, is seeking a General Brokerage Closing Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Mt. Pleasant, SC.


In this role, you'll be at the heart of real estate closings—working closely with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and attorneys to ensure each transaction is completed smoothly, accurately, and on time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with lenders, agents, clients, and attorneys to prepare and finalize real estate closing documents
  • Review and organize contract and title documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Draft and prepare closing packages, settlement statements, and related legal forms
  • Manage the file ledger and ensure accurate accounting of all incoming and outgoing funds
  • Disburse funds appropriately on closing day and ensure proper execution of wire transfers and checks
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with all parties throughout the closing process


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a real estate paralegal, closing coordinator, or similar role
  • Knowledge of South Carolina closing practices and title requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with closing software (Qualia is preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A collaborative team player with a professional, client-focused demeanor
