Systems Engineer (Senior)
Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer provides technical leadership and expertise in systems engineering processes, supporting the design, development, integration, and sustainment of AEGIS Ashore and AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead systems engineering efforts across the full system lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, testing, and sustainment. 
  • Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability from initial definition through implementation and verification. 
  • Ensure alignment of system capabilities with PEO C4I programs of record and mission objectives. 
  • Support architecture development, system integration, and interoperability across complex systems and platforms. 
  • Conduct technical analyses, trade studies, and performance assessments to support engineering decisions. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, cybersecurity, logistics, and test organizations. 
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, reports, and briefings to stakeholders. 
  • Support configuration management and ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices. 
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Systems, IT, Business Systems, or Business Administration. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in AEGIS Ashore and/or AEGIS BMD (AA/ABMD) systems engineering. 
  • Demonstrated experience in: 
    • Requirements definition 
    • Requirements traceability 
    • Alignment with PEO C4I programs of record 
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and DoD engineering processes. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills. 
  • High caliber oral, written, and briefing communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
  • Secret Clearance required.
