Job Title: Business Systems Engineer
Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA

About the role:
As a Business Systems Engineer at Applied Intuition, you will be the lead architect of our corporate data ecosystem. We are looking for a highly technical, senior-level engineer to bridge the gap between our core business functions and the software that powers them. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting a seamless data ecosystem that connects back-end finance and HR systems to provide a unified, real-time view of our global operations, enabling data-driven strategic decisions at the highest levels. You will ensure that our systems including Oracle NetSuite, Workday, and Pigment are unified into a robust, scalable architecture that supports rapid global growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain business systems integrations and automations across core enterprise applications.
  • Serve as a technical lead for business systems architecture, integration strategy, and process optimization.
  • Build and support integrations using Workato, with strong hands-on experience with NetSuite including SuiteScript, Salesforce, Zip, Pigment, Workday, Zuora, Snowflake, PLM systems (Arena), and inventory management systems.
  • Partner with Finance, people operations, revenue operation, Sales, and other business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support and optimize business workflows related to Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot reporting and data workflows, including Tableau, Power BI, and custom scripting.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and resolve issues.
  • Use collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack, and Google Drive to manage work, documentation, and communication.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, system failures, workflow breaks, and integration errors through structured root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to system governance, data integrity, operational readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business systems, systems engineering, enterprise applications, integrations, or related technical roles.
  • Experience across fast pace startup, IPO readiness, and enterprise company environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workato integration development.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce and NetSuite, including Python and Java scripting.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Pigment, Zip, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, PLM platforms, and inventory management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of business workflows including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report.
  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics solutions, including Tableau and/or working knowledge of Power BI.
  • Experience with custom scripting and technical problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and engineering teams.
  • Experience using Jira, Slack, and Google Drive in a collaborative work environment.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.


Nice to have:
  • Certifications in one or more of the following: Workato, Workday, NetSuite.
