Job description

This role is hybrid out of Pennsauken, NJ

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the oversight and implementation of all aspects of BAYADA Home Health Care and managed entities insurance programs, under the supervision of the Director of Employee Claims. Plan and oversee key work streams and projects related to the selection and procurement of adequate, cost-effective, and comprehensive business insurance coverage. Analyze and interpret claim trends, while collaborating with key business partners, to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including safety programs and loss prevention measures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
  • Four (4) year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related risk management, insurance policy management, and/or insurance/brokerage experience and/or training.
  • ARM, CPCU, and/or Property & Casualty Broker license preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry best practices. Proficiency in data analysis and risk assessment tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse levels, skill sets and functions.
  • Team Oriented.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create reports.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
  • Manage data and application requests as part of the insurance renewal process for BAYADA’s property/casualty insurance programs.
  • Assist with the negotiation of insurance renewal programs, including pricing and terms and conditions as needed.
  • Assist with the evaluation of insurance coverage requirements for new business acquisitions and/or joint ventures. Assist in the placement of coverage.
  • Responsible for coordinating, analyzing, and compiling data relative to actuarial, financial, and insurance audits.
  • Review of insurance program specifications, quotations, policies, and schedules of insurance for accuracy and completeness.
  • Review insurance carrier and insurance broker invoices and process payment.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective Workers’ Compensation charge and cost allocation process.
  • Produce statistical and analytical reports, charts, and graphs that provide a visual representation of claim trends to business leads.
  • Collaborate with business leads and clinical teams on the implementation and creation of loss prevention strategies.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of claims data and coding in an effort to ensure the accuracy of claim trends needed for data analytics.
  • Assist in the ongoing assessment/gap analysis of existing loss prevention materials, programs, policies and procedures to identify areas of opportunity to mitigate risks from a safety and insurance perspective.
  • Help maintain a strong relationship and open communication with key stakeholders to ensure they are aware of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Oversee OSHA compliance as it relates to our Workers’ Compensation program and ensure timely completion of required logs.
  • Partner with Accounting and Financial Reporting to ensure adequacy of insurance reserves.
  • Participate in the selection and oversight of insurance consultants and program providers.
  • Assistance with the Workers’ Compensation Claims Management program as needed.
  • Management and oversight of the company’s Unemployment claims program.
  • Management and oversight of the company’s New Jersey Temporary Disability and New Jersey Family Leave Insurance Programs.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
