Position Summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of engineering projects across a broad range of civil engineering disciplines. This individual will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Candidates with experience in transportation, site civil, coastal engineering, hydrology and hydraulics (H&H), water resources, federal, municipal, land development, or related infrastructure markets are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
  • Review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business and new client development.
  • Mentor engineers and technical staff while promoting professional development.
  • Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience managing projects within one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Site Civil
    • Transportation
    • Water Resources
    • Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H)

    • Federal Infrastructure
