Job description

Job Title

Business Process Designer

Banesco USA is seeking a Business Process Designer for our Business Process business unit.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Discovery & Interviewing: Conduct deep-dive interviews with process owners and stakeholders to uncover manual bottlenecks, data gaps, and operational inefficiencies, as well as map manual decision-making processes, identifying "low-variability" tasks ideal for AI automation vs. "high-judgment" tasks requiring human oversight.
  • Analysis and Process Design: Adopt a systemic approach to identify the end-to-end process and friction points. Document "As-Is" and “To-Be” workflows, business requirements, KPIs for post-implementation performance tracking, and any additional supporting artifacts.
  • Value Management & Continuous Improvement: Quantify the potential impact of improvements—including FTE savings, cycle time/waste reduction, and error mitigation. Define KPIs for efficiency and reports to track performance. Establish a permanent feedback loop where automation performance data triggers ongoing process refinements.
  • Strategic Roadmap: Balance "quick win" automations with the need for scalable, robust process architecture. Help leadership prioritize the backlog by distinguishing foundational improvements from "hype" projects.
  • Tool Orchestration: Recommend optimal technology solution (RPA, BPM, GenAI/LLMs). Ensure all AI developments are connected to the broader enterprise ecosystem, avoiding "siloed" solutions that create technical debt.
  • Support Change Management: Partner with Change Management Lead to advocate for the user and monitor post-deployment effectiveness, usability, and model drift.
  • Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
  • Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, or BPM) with a proven track record in AI/Automation projects.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Systems Thinking: Proven ability to map end-to-end value streams, identify dependencies, and look at the "whole picture" rather than individual tasks.
  • AI Fluency: High-level understanding of AI capabilities (LLMs, NLP) and Automation (RPA, Low-code) without requiring programming skills.
  • Risk Literacy: Risk-aware mindset regarding data integrity and process controls.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex, cross-departmental processes with extreme precision. Effective listener with good analytical skills and the ability to extract "tacit knowledge" from users who may not realize they are following a specific logic pattern
  • Emotional Intelligence: Skilled at interviewing stakeholders and managing the "fear of automation" within teams.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity; able to pivot process designs as technology capabilities or business priorities change.
  • Communication: Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills in order to detect and identify weaknesses in the bank’s systems and the ability to identify the root cause of the weakness.
  • Ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work and complete task producing high quality results within a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Paid time off.
  • Hybrid schedule.
  • 401k with employer match.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision.
  • Life Insurance.
  • Supplemental Insurances.
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Benefits.
  • Free parking.
  • On-site Cafeteria.
