Job Summary
The Director of Business Process Transformation is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that improve operational performance, enable strategic execution, and deliver measurable business value across Harley-Davidson's Product and Operations organization.

This role partners with senior leaders, functional teams, and technology stakeholders to establish governance, identify opportunities, redesign processes, and implement sustainable changes that improve efficiency, quality, customer experience, and business outcomes while supporting Harley-Davidson’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead governance frameworks, standards, methodologies, and performance measures.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute enterprise transformation initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and business performance.
  • Design and implement future-state business processes and drive process standardization across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, planning, logistics, and quality functions.
  • Establish enterprise process governance and process ownership models that promote accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead business capability assessments and translate findings into transformation roadmaps and actionable improvement plans.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies, including communication, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption plans that support successful implementation.
  • Build organizational alignment, assess readiness for change, and proactively address barriers to adoption.
  • Develop business cases and measure the financial and operational impact of transformation initiatives, including cost savings, productivity improvements, benefits realization, and return on investment.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track transformation progress, business outcomes, and operational performance.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and industry best practices to improve decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate waste, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with Information Technology and business leaders to optimize enterprise systems and enable digital transformation through SAP, automation, advanced planning systems, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics.
  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of business process specialists, analysts, project managers, and other transformation resources as required.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure all transformation initiatives align with Harley-Davidson's strategic priorities and long-term business objectives.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirements

This position typically requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience driving large-scale transformation initiatives within manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations environments.  In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:

  • Experience establishing or leading a Transformation Management Office (TMO), Program Management Office (PMO), or similar enterprise transformation function.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex organizational change and business process transformation efforts.
  • Experience developing business cases, tracking value realization, and delivering measurable operational and financial results.
  • Strong knowledge of business process governance, process ownership frameworks, and operational excellence methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with ERP platforms, preferably SAP, and related manufacturing, planning, procurement, and supply chain systems.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, including automation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise planning solutions.
  • Strong understanding of project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build alignment across functions, and lead through change.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
