Job description

Chamberlain Group (CG) is a global leader in intelligent access and Blackstone portfolio company. Powered by our myQ technology, we make access simple and secure for millions of homeowners, businesses, and communities worldwide. Our flagship brands, LiftMaster and Chamberlain, are found in 51+ million homes, and 14 million+ people rely on the myQ app daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the enterprisewide content strategy that maps audience segments, journey stages, and business objectives to the right content types, formats, and channels-spanning all brands and product lines across the Chamberlain Group portfolio

  • Build and maintain deep audience intelligence by understanding the needs, questions, language, and decision triggers of core segments (homeowners, renters, smart home users, installers/trades, dealers, and commercial/enterprise customers)

  • Define portfoliolevel content pillars, messaging hierarchies, and topic authority frameworks that position the Chamberlain Group as the leader in intelligent access-not just individual product brands

  • Integrate data sources such as search intent, social listening, CRM signals, and firstparty behavioral analytics to continuously evolve strategy and optimize content investments

  • Lead quarterly crossfunctional content planning with marketing, product, sales, CX, and channel partners to align priorities and build integrated, audiencefirst roadmaps

  • Own the enterprise editorial calendar across all channels-including web/blog, social, email, video, paid media, PR, retail, partner content, and product surfaces

  • Design and govern the content briefing system, ensuring every asset begins with a strategic brief outlining audience, objective, message architecture, format, channel, and measurement approach

  • Serve as the orchestrator between creative, brand, product marketing, and business teams, managing the content pipeline, resolving prioritization conflicts, and ensuring highquality, on-time delivery

  • Build and uphold content governance frameworks, including brand voice guidelines, creative consistency standards, message hierarchies, and channelspecific style guides across the full portfolio

  • Establish performance and optimization loops that monitor content effectiveness across discovery, engagement, and conversion-and use insights to refine strategy over time

  • Act as guardian of brand voice across all touchpoints, ensuring seamless and unmistakably consistent expression in product pages, help/support content, retail content, blogs, emails, social, and partner channels

  • Partner closely with creative teams to ensure alignment and reinforcement between verbal and visual expressions across products, services, community, support, and crisis communication contexts

  • Lead holistic search and discovery strategy across SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) at the portfolio level-strengthening the presence, authority, and accuracy of all Chamberlain Group brands

  • Own technical SEO collaboration with IT/Web, ensuring excellence in site architecture, page performance, structured data, accessibility, and crawlability across all digital properties

  • Advance alwayson content ecosystems that support the full lifecycle-prepurchase, active use, troubleshooting/support, community engagement, and longterm retention-while leveraging AI for scaled ideation, production efficiency, and futureready discovery experiences

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6-9 years in content strategy, brand content, or integrated SEO - with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity. Experience managing cross-functional content operations at a brand, not just at an agency, is strongly preferred

  • Experience building and governing editorial calendars and briefing systems at scale

  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report or content contributor

  • Proven ability to develop and operationalize a content strategy - not just write content plans but build the systems that make great content happen consistently

  • Strong working knowledge of traditional SEO: technical fundamentals, keyword strategy, content optimization, and link development

  • Genuine fluency with - or serious curiosity about - AEO and GEO: understanding how AI systems ingest, evaluate, and surface brand content

  • Familiarity with schema markup, structured data, and technical SEO fundamentals

  • Proficient with SEO tools: Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console, Screaming FrogDeep understanding of audience segmentation, consumer journey mapping, and message architecture

  • Exceptional writing and editing ability; a sharp editorial instinct

  • Experience developing and stewarding brand voice and style guidelines

  • Comfortable using data to drive content decisions: search analytics, content performance metrics, audience insights, social listening

  • Strong cross-functional project management skills - this role herds a lot of cats across a lot of teams

  • Ability to influence without authority and build trust with creative, technical, and business stakeholders

  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report or content contributor

  • Can connect content investment to business outcomes

  • Ability to brief creative teams clearly and evaluate creative output against strategic objectives

The pay range for this position is $129,700.00 - $209,200.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
