ZS is seeking a Distribution and Logistics Optimization Consultant to help clients improve logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and merchandising through optimization, operations research, advanced analytics, and AI. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 2.5 years of experience applying quantitative methods to real-world operational problems and translating analytical insights into practical recommendations.
What You'll Do
  • Apply optimization, analytics, and AI to logistics, warehouse, distribution, and merchandising functions.
  • Develop operations research models, including linear/integer programming, network optimization, heuristics, and simulation.
  • Support warehouse operations and planning, labor balancing, network optimization, transportation, and distribution.
  • Translate model outputs and operational data into actionable recommendations on cost, service, capacity, and productivity.
  • Support merchandising and category management use cases where analytics can improve assortment, inventory, and distribution decisions.
  • Support and help own technology and analytics implementations for clients, from requirements and solution design through testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in decision analytics, operations research, optimization, or a related quantitative field.
