About the Team:

AlphaSense's Content Operations Strategy and Enablement (COSE) team is responsible for establishing the strategy and infrastructure to drive sustainable and scalable growth for our Expert Calls and Compliance Operations organizations. We work closely with client-facing and cross-functional teams to drive impact across AlphaSense's Expert Insights organization. Our team is organized into the following pillars:
  • Enablement: supports our teams to do their best work through employee training, communications, and knowledge management
  • Systems Strategy: supercharges workflow by leveraging technology and collaborating with Vendor and Product teams
  • Strategy & Planning: steers the organization towards growth through quarterly / annual planning, account strategy, performance management, and operational strategy initiatives
  • Compliance Programs: leverages systems, technology, and data to support compliance teams and processes
  • Business Operations & Strategy: identifies and executes top-line growth and bottom-line optimization initiatives

About the Role: 

As the Director of Strategy & Planning, you will report to the Senior Director of Content Operations Strategy & Enablement (COSE) and lead the Strategy & Planning team (Senior Manager + Associate). You will manage the operational strategy and planning for our Expert Call Services, Generated Content, and Compliance Operations teams. You will also collaborate with our GTM teams on annual planning related to our call services business. 

You will own the Expert Insights Operating Model, build and maintain capacity models, support data-driven decision-making, and run key planning cycles. You will be a strategic partner to Operations Leadership, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and cross-functional execution across Operations, GTM, Enablement, Ops Systems, Product, and Finance.

This role is instrumental in driving productivity, efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across a growing, customer-facing organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, self-driven, collaborative, and highly strategic.

Who You Are:
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, FP&A, revenue operations, strategic finance, or a high-growth startup
  • 2+ years managing teams, including experience building and maintaining team roadmaps
  • Advanced Excel + SQL proficiency
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, PBI) 
  • Strong ability to model capacity, forecast performance, and quantify impact
  • Quick, adaptive learner with strong operational acumen and a bias for action
  • Applies design thinking, structured problem-solving, and data-driven frameworks to create scalable systems and processes
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities
  • Experienced in process design and documentation best practices; Lean Six Sigma familiarity a plus
  • Skilled at simplifying complexity, driving clarity, and aligning teams through change
  • Strong communicator who influences at all levels and delivers executive-ready insights
  • People-focused leader who develops talent, builds high-performing teams, and leads through others

What You'll Do: 

Forecasting & Planning

  • Maintain and build the annual plan, including departmental output goals, operational targets, and staffing levels
  • Own quarterly forecasting and goaling processes
  • Monitor capacity and utilization to determine staffing needs and optimize resourcing
  • Lead go-to-market planning with Revenue Operations and FP&A

Account Strategy & Planning

  • Ensure teams operate at target staffing levels through capacity monitoring and strategic course correction
  • Own the account segmentation framework
  • Lead account balancing and territory planning initiatives

Performance Management & Incentive Structures

  • Support goal-setting across all roles and teams
  • Evaluate and calibrate KPIs to drive desired business outcomes
  • Design and administer role-based incentive plans

Business Performance Measurement

  • Work with department leaders to establish and maintain OKRs
  • Build and maintain departmental reporting suite to understand performance to goal and quickly identify root causes of under of overperformance 

Total Cash Compensation Range: $195,600 - $240,000 (Base: $163,000 - $200,000 + 20% Bonus).
