Job description

Hybrid | Omaha, Nebraska Metro Area (Relocation Available)

A growing multi-site manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business operations and enterprise technology. This is an opportunity to play a highly visible role partnering with stakeholders across the organization to improve business processes, optimize ERP capabilities and support strategic technology initiatives that directly impact the business.

This position combines business analysis, ERP functional expertise and system administration responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with business users to understand operational needs, document current and future-state processes, configure ERP functionality, support system enhancements and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and business operations.

This is an individual contributor position that leads through influence rather than direct authority, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating across departments and solving complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and document business processes.
  • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through ERP and business systems.
  • Create business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and workflow documentation.
  • Configure and maintain ERP system settings and business process parameters.
  • Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades and enhancement projects.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and validate business solutions before deployment.
  • Lead end-user training and support successful adoption of new processes.
  • Evaluate existing system functionality and recommend enhancements aligned with business objectives.
  • Support integrated business systems spanning manufacturing operations, warehouse management, production scheduling, inventory planning, order processing and financial processes.
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects while working in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately 5+ years of Business Analyst experience (strong candidates with slightly less experience will also be considered).
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with any major ERP platform; manufacturing ERP experience is preferred.
  • Strong business process analysis and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience creating process documentation, functional specifications and workflow diagrams.
  • Experience supporting ERP configuration, testing and user training.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar process mapping tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and business operations is beneficial.

The Opportunity

  • Join a financially stable, growing manufacturing organization with operations across multiple locations.
  • Work on meaningful ERP and business process initiatives that have enterprise-wide visibility.
  • Be part of a collaborative IT team that values continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Hybrid work environment based in the Omaha metro area.
  • Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
  • Minimal travel (approximately 10%) for occasional visits to other company locations.
