MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Business Operations Manager - Defense Acquisitions to help support our current Marine Corps Systems Command Contract in Stafford, VA. The ideal candidate will assume the Business Operations Lead role for our Marine Corps customer. The successful candidate will work directly with the government Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and senior staff to ensure the efficient execution of daily operations across the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the Business Operations Manager within a fast paced, complex operating environment focused on the development, fielding, and sustainment of intelligence and cyberspace capabilities in support of the Fleet Marine Force.
  • Oversee a comprehensive quality management and compliance program across numerous portfolio capabilities, projects, and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual (SECNAV M-5216.5), the Marine Corps Supplement (MCO 5216.20A), and the collection of Defense acquisition lifecycle orders and directives (e.g., DoWI 5000.02, DoDD 5000.01, etc.).
  • Be prepared to assist government and military personnel in tracking and mitigating program risks, issues, and opportunities via the Project Recon system when directed.
  • Facilitate government travel and expense processing as a Reviewing Official within the Defense Travel System.
  • Research and recommend solutions to complex problems across the portfolio and review established directives in support of Integrated Product Teams and SMEs.
  • Develop and conduct training focused on standard office procedures and Marine Corps-specific business rules and processes.
  • Supervise the organization's ongoing efforts to optimize its knowledge management environment, ensuring all stakeholder equities are accounted for and information configuration and flow requirements are met.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience executing DoD Systems Acquisition Lifecycle (DoD 5000) processes and requirements.
  • Former government and/or military program/project management or operations leadership experience.
  • Marine Corps service in an acquisition command, capability development directorate, or laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of DoD/USMC garrison and tactical environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates strong administrative, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Prior military service (Marine Corps preferred).
  • DAWIA Practitioner or Advanced certification.

Clearance Requirement:
  • Must have a current / active DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work

The projected compensation range for this position is $119,900.00-$199,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
