Job Title: Business Office Manager – Healthcare Finance & Operations

Location: Hauppauge, NY


Job Summary:
We’re seeking a dynamic Business Office Manager to oversee healthcare business office operations including accounts payable, billing, patient registration, finance, insurance verification, and monthly closing/reporting tasks. You’ll lead, train, and evaluate a dedicated office team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting quality improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage healthcare business office staff: hire, train, set goals, and evaluate performance

  • Oversee revenue cycle (scheduling, insurance verification, coding, billing, cash management, collections)

  • Handle all accounts payable, financial closure, and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with state/federal policies and company standards

  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff, management, and other departments

  • Set and track office objectives and metrics

  • Foster a healthy work environment and model professional behavior

  • Incorporate patient satisfaction/quality data into office goals

  • Identify and solve process issues impacting financial goals or patient care

  • Support human resources management of business office staff

  • Collaborate for system/process efficiency

  • Other related duties as needed


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or healthcare administration

  • Minimum 3 years experience running a medical office (accounts payable, revenue cycle, finance)
