Position Specific Description
Business Management is seeking a candidate for the North Regional team as a Business Management Analyst. In this role, you will support managing the profit and loss of NEER's renewable projects in the North region (MISO, ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, FRP). You will work with multiple cross-functional teams, including NextEra Energy Power Marketing, Power Generation Division, Accounting, Legal, NEER Development, and other regional Business Management teams. This role will lead special projects to support further optimization of the existing projects and support development projects as well as support the regional Business Managers in portfolio management. The ideal candidate is someone with strong analytical and financial skills.
Job Overview
Employees in this role support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets. This position support budgeting and forecasting, analyzing P and L variance, participating in ad hoc and special projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes financial, operational, or technical project analysis
  • Conducts analyses regarding issues that have an impact on the operation of a specific functional area and makes recommendations to management
  • Maintains project schedules and reviews documents for technical accuracy
  • Performs ad hoc projects, report development, modeling, and other miscellaneous projects
  • Oversees discretionary capital improvement or restructuring projects for generating assets
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Master's - Business Administration
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
