Metron is actively seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to develop and manage our business analytics tool set built on Power BI. This role will integrate essential enterprise systems including accounting, forecasting, business development pipeline and Human Resources to deliver clear reporting, actionable insights, manage risk, and accelerate decision making across the company. This high-visibility position reports to Metron's Chief Operating Officer and based primarily at the Metron headquarters located at the heart of the Reston Town Center in Reston, VA. This role will build on our current enterprise management ecosystem and offers an exceptional opportunity for professional growth. Key Business Intelligence Analyst responsibilities include:
  • Business Intelligence and Reporting
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI, Excel, and AI-based analytics tools
    • Transform complex data into clear reports, interactive dashboards, visualizations, and actionable insights to help business leaders make informed decisions
    • Analyze trends, identify performance drivers, and support data-informed decision-making across the organization
    • Curate the report catalog, retire legacy reports, and document reporting processes to improve consistency and usability
  • Business Process Support
    • Identify inefficiencies in reporting and business workflows and recommend practical, data-driven improvements
    • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across finance, HR, operations, and business development
    • Partner with business and technical teams to design, implement, and roll out data-driven process improvements
  • Data Integration
    • Support the integration of data from enterprise systems using APIs, databases, and other data-access methods
    • Build and maintain data models, reporting datasets, and analytics frameworks that enable accurate and scalable reporting
    • Contribute to the design and evolution of enterprise data storage, reporting structures, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Collaboration and Growth
    • Partner with program managers, directors, and executive leadership to define KPI reporting and evolving business needs
    • Document reporting logic, data definitions, and business requirements to improve maintainability and shared understanding.
    • Share knowledge and help end users understand available tools, reports, and data resources.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in business intelligence, analytics, business operations or similar role
  • 2+ years minimum experience developing analytic reports using Power BI, IBM COGNOS or similar BI platform
  • Experience analyzing financial, operational, or business performance data and presenting results clearly
  • Working knowledge of data structures, relational databases, Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and principles of enterprise systems integration
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into reporting solutions, and support implementation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build relationships with teams across executive, operations management, and technical teams
  • US citizenship required with ability to obtain a US Government SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the national security environment or government contracting industry
  • Master's degree in Business (MBA), Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • Advanced-level experience with Power BI data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and/or SQL
  • Experience with one or more scripting or programming languages such as Python
  • Experience with software development workflows and supporting tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and enterprise Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development
