About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst 1 role to add to our highly collaborative and innovative Data Analytics Team. As a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst role within the dynamic Taco Bell Data Analytics Team, primary responsibility will be to design and develop dashboards, visualizations, metrics and reports to various business and field users across all of Taco Bell to help them derive insights for optimal business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting. This role will involve working closely with various departments to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making processes.

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze complex and high-volume data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Develop and maintain semantic models, dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives using Microsoft Fabric end to end analytics platform and snowflake.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, stakeholders, and vendors to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights and to deliver insight-driven data products leveraging various data sources.
  • Data Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing and maintaining data quality standards. Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval processes. Create and maintain enhanced SQL queries for report data validation and performance optimization.
  • Decision Making: Demonstrate good decision-making and high-level understanding of end-to-end data ingestion and processing of data sets used in reporting and visualizations. 
  • Autonomy: Work independently with minimum guidance on complex assignments and leverage end-user relationships to drive outcomes. 
  • Participate in engagements that drive more visibility within the technology leadership team.
  • Delivery: Work closely with reliability team to define change management process for Power BI migrations and assist reliability team during production deployments for report and visualization migrations.

Is This You?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field. A master's degree and Power BI certification are a plus. 

  • 8+ years of Industry experience in a business intelligence data analyst and report developer role.

  • 5+ years of solid hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining data visualizations using BI analytical tools, specifically PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.

  • 5+ years of proven solid experience in designing and developing physical and logical data models to support the creation of complex data visualizations.

  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries across high-volume data sets. Highly proficient in SQL optimization techniques and PostgreSQL database systems. 

  • Familiarity working with lake houses, data warehouses, relational databases, and data modeling techniques.

  • Experience in embedding data visualizations in external and internal applications.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and work independently as part of a team.

  • Be a flexible, adaptive learner, go-to-expert in the disciple, and keep up with a fast-changing business model.

  • Willingness to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders and enthusiastic about solving business problems using data visualizations. 

  • Recommend optimal data visualization solutions and eager to share/collaborate with reporting authors and consumers.

  • Demonstrate time management, teamwork, and prioritization skills.

  • Relevant industry experience in retail/QSR is a plus.

  • Excellent facilitation, oral and written communication, and presentation skills to easily explain information to technical and non-technical functional/cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • Exposure and entry-level experience in the AWS cloud platform and Snowflake are a plus. 

  • High-level knowledge of data engineering concepts and processes.

  • Hands-on experience using AI-powered tools in day-to-day analytics

Salary Range: $99,200 to $128,600 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
