I have a new Senior Tableau Developer / Senior BI Developer opening with OSI Digital in Irvine, CA. This is an onsite role, so please focus on candidates who are local to Irvine/Orange County or are fully committed to working onsite.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer with strong hands-on experience in Tableau, SQL, and modern analytics delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, publishing, and supporting enterprise-grade Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions across the Tableau ecosystem.

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions with a focus on usability, scalability, performance, and business value.
  • Build and support solutions across Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud.
  • Develop well-structured Tableau workbooks using advanced calculations, parameters, filters, actions, LOD expressions, and visualizations.
  • Build and maintain Tableau data sources, extracts, published data sources, and live connections.
  • Use Tableau Prep to clean, combine, transform, and prepare data for reporting and analytics.
  • Write advanced SQL queries using joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization techniques.
  • Work with relational databases, cloud data warehouses, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop reusable views, curated datasets, transformation logic, and reporting-ready data models.
  • Optimize Tableau performance through query, extract, calculation, data model, workbook, and publishing improvements.
  • Publish, schedule, refresh, and manage Tableau content within Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud.
  • Support Tableau governance, including projects/folders, permissions, certified data sources, user access, content promotion, and report lifecycle management.
  • Implement security best practices, including row-level security, user-based access, and data-source permissions.
  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications, wireframes, data models, and scalable BI solutions.
  • Conduct dashboard walkthroughs, working sessions, and UAT with business users.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business teams.
  • Support production issues, enhancements, dashboard migrations, and performance troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 10 years of hands-on Tableau development experience
  • Strong experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, and Tableau Prep
  • Advanced SQL development skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Strong understanding of BI/data modeling concepts
  • Experience building enterprise-level dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Tableau performance optimization and visualization best practices
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and leadership
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field
