Job description

Capital markets are undergoing a fundamental shift. Assets that live in fragmented systems and manual workflows are moving onto blockchains -systems designed to move and store value more transparently and efficiently.
While this unlocks more open and programmable financial systems, it also introduces significant complexity. For most users, interacting with this new infrastructure is still too difficult.
Fun builds the infrastructure that powers consumer-facing fintech applications - handling onboarding, account access, and money movement so users can interact with blockchain-based systems as seamlessly as they do with traditional finance.
For fintech builders, Fun provides a best-in-class onboarding and deposit stack that drives conversion and unlocks user growth. We operate at the intersection of financial infrastructure, complex engineering, and product experience.

About The Role

We're looking for a Business Development professional to own and accelerate Fun's commercial growth. This is an individual contributor role -  you'll run enterprise deals end-to-end and help shape how we bring Checkout to market. You'll be one of Fun's primary voices in market - the person prospects, partners and the broader ecosystem come to associate with how we sell. You don't need crypto experience; we're actively looking for people who've built strong BD motions and are ready to apply it to the infrastructure layer of on-chain commerce.
What You'll Do
  • Own the Full Deal Cycle: Drive deals from sourcing and qualification through discovery, solution design, negotiation, and close. Serve as the primary champion for each account inside Fun.

  • Build and Manage Pipeline: Develop a high-quality pipeline with a focus on enterprise accounts. Iterate on campaigns based on what's converting, and manage across multiple ICPs.

  • Own Technical Discovery: Get deep enough on Fun's stack to lead discovery yourself - qualifying and demonstrating value to engineering and product buyers without depending on engineering

  • Represent Fun.xyz Externally: Attend industry conferences and ecosystem events to build relationships, generate pipeline, and expand our footprint.

  • Read the Market: Track emerging trends and competitor moves, and feed that into how we counter-position on pricing, packaging, and narrative.

  • Shape the Commercial Motion: Partner with product and leadership teams to translate technical capabilities into compelling commercial narratives and feed structured field insights back into roadmap, pricing, and positioning

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of BD or sales experience with a track record of closing enterprise deals.

  • Track record of generating your own pipeline through outbound (not just converting inbound)

  • Comfort in early stage environment: as effective at building a repeatable process as following one.

  • Ability to run multi-stakeholder deal cycles from start to finish, engaging executives, founders, product leaders, and legal/compliance stakeholders with confidence.

  • Genuine curiosity about crypto and the future of on-chain payments.

Nice to Have
  • Existing relationships with enterprise decision-makers

  • Experience working at a high-growth startup

  • Experience selling developer-focused or API-first products

$250,000 - $400,000 a year

The On Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, inclusive of base salary, commissions and bonuses, is a range of $250,000 to $400,000.  This range spans many career levels at Fun, and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate's qualifications, experience and location.

Why Join Us

Shape the future of payments and programmable money
Work with bleeding-edge tech in a domain where innovation moves fast
Join a mission-driven team focused on access, openness, and trust
Be a key contributor, not just a cog-your work will ship fast and matter
Collaborate with top-tier protocols, builders, and financial infrastructure providers

Location and Work Environment

This role is primarily in-person at our Midtown, NYC headquarters. We work together Monday through Thursday for fast, iterative collaboration and optional WFH Fridays to reset and recharge.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
