Description
ECBuild is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the business development and marketing efforts as defined in the business plans across the Maryland and North Carolina offices and surrounding states with a focus on achieving overall firm wide goals for ECBuild. This position will be responsible for Business Development and marketing for ECBuild.
Essential Functions:
  • Represents ECBuild at trade shows, conventions, and networking events with a primary focus in the Life Science, Healthcare and Higher Education markets.
  • Represents ECBuild at trade shows, conventions, and networking events.
  • Contacts, qualifies, and sets appointments with potential clients via telephone and electronic means.
  • Position ECBuild for new revenue opportunities by utilizing strong networking skills and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the ECBuild brand and reputation in the region.
  • Spend considerable time out of the office, making industry connections and promoting the brand, portfolio and capabilities of the firm.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, impending opportunities and organizations that will provide for networking and connections across the industry.
  • Attend industry events and conferences, locally and regionally.
  • Become a resource for CRM; closely track targets and pursuits as identified in the business plan.
  • Work with leadership to schedule and track meetings and follow up activities with identified targets and growth clients to ensure regular touchpoints are being made.
  • Assist professional staff as a liaison to the Marketing team for proposal, collateral and communications efforts.
  • Work with firm-wide Business Development team and market sector leadership to ensure regional business development efforts are aligned with the overall business plans and goals.
  • Attend monthly firm-wide Business Development meetings to provide updates for region.
  • Attend bi-weekly regional Business Development meetings and maintain reports and agenda for review.
  • Work with EC Build leadership to organize, plan, schedule and manage the firm's sales efforts as defined in the business plan.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field
  • Minimum of 5-8 years relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of A/E/C industry, terminology and delivery methods, preferably by way of previous experience
  • Team player and collaborator with ability to also work individually and remotely
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Proven ability to proactively engage with leaders and facilitate discussions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both efficiently and in an organized manner

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Previous experience working in the A/E/C Industry
  • Prior experience in customer relationship management systems (CRM), preferably Microsoft 365

Salary Description
