Business Development Representative - Let's Grow Together
We're looking for someone who's naturally curious,proactive, and ready to take initiative. If you love building relationships,reopening doors with dormant accounts, and finding creative ways to connectwith new prospects, this role is for you. We want someone who's not afraid toask questions, dig deeper, and always look for the next opportunity-whetherit's a new customer or a fresh way to add value for an existing one.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop new business opportunities across assigned territories and existing customer accounts for all company product segments.
  • Proactively identify, research, and pursue new prospects using phone, email, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms-don't wait for leads to come to you.
  • Reopen conversations with dormant accounts and find ways to reignite relationships.
  • Build genuine relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their needs and looking for ways to help.
  • Explain products and services in a clear, customer-focused way, and uncover additional opportunities through thoughtful conversations.
  • Use printed and digital marketing materials to educate customers on what we offer and how it can help them.
  • Keep customer records, contact info, and activity up to date in Salesforce, P21, and other company systems.
  • Document customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups to keep the pipeline moving.
  • Partner with Inside Sales to support quotes, lead follow-up, customer requests, and admin tasks.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales on bigger projects that might need site visits or technical support.
  • Always be prospecting for new customers and looking for ways to expand our market.
  • Stay curious about industry trends, customer applications, and new business opportunities-never stop learning.
  • Meet customer expectations, hit deadlines, and help the team reach its goals.
  • Jump in on other duties as needed-flexibility is key.

What We're Looking For:
  • 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, business development, warm calling, or customer development preferred.
  • Experience selling technical, industrial, manufacturing, or engineered products is highly desirable.
  • You're naturally curious, love to learn, ask questions, solve problems, and willing to understand customer applications.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable researching and finding new business opportunities on your own.
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts into customer-friendly solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple priorities.
