They reach out to potential clients, initiate conversations, and assess whether prospects are a good fit for the company's products or services. BDRs often work closely with sales and marketing teams to generate leads, set up meetings, and help drive company growth. Their primary goal is to move prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel and hand off qualified leads to account executives or sales managers.

Job description

Sales Hunter Wanted: Grow VirtuGuard™ Remote Guarding

Business Development Representative – VirtuGuard Remote Guarding Sales

BOS Security is hiring a driven business development professional to grow VirtuGuard™, our remote guarding and live video monitoring solution.

This is a strong opportunity for a true sales hunter who can open doors, build trust with decision-makers, and sell a modern security solution that helps clients improve coverage, reduce risk, and control costs.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Sell a fast-growing, technology-enabled security service.
Help businesses prevent incidents in real time through live monitoring, virtual security officers, audio intervention, and escalation protocols.
Join a company that has protected clients since 1993 and has the operations support to help you win.
Build pipeline, close new business, and help shape the growth of VirtuGuard™.

What You'll Do

You will own new business development from prospecting through close, with support from a company that understands security operations and client service.

  • Prospect through calls, email outreach, referrals, networking, and targeted industry research.
Qualify company-generated leads and move strong opportunities through the sales process.
Build relationships with business owners, executives, property managers, and operations leaders.
Identify security gaps and work with internal teams to prepare remote guarding proposals.
Use the CRM to manage pipeline, follow-up, expected close dates, and projected revenue.

You May Be a Fit If You

  • Have a proven record of opening new accounts and managing a sales pipeline.
Enjoy prospecting and creating opportunities instead of waiting for leads.
Can sell value, not just price.
Are comfortable discussing technology, security needs, and business outcomes.
Have experience in security, surveillance, camera installation, facilities services, property management services, or another B2B service industry.
Can work independently while staying accountable to sales activity, pipeline progress, and revenue goals.

Compensation and Growth

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, commission opportunity, and benefits. High performers will have room to grow as VirtuGuard expands and the opportunity to influence a growing service line.

Ready to Sell Something Different?

If you are a sales professional who likes to hunt, knows how to build trust, and wants to sell a technology-enabled security solution with real value, we want to talk with you.

*After you apply, you will be sent an email with a pre-interview questionnaire. You must complete this questionnaire to be considered for the role.* Safety Responsibilites: Ensuring annual safety training is complete.

BOS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We welcome and value diverse perspectives across our team.
