Job Description
Job Description - Overview:
As a Business Development Representative, you must be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual. You will be responsible for cold-calling as well as qualifying marketing leads, to help build the sales pipeline, with the goal of driving revenue from net new customers. The goal is to uncover sales opportunities through meaningful business discussions with decision makers. You will leverage all your prospecting skills to identify and qualify leads and send qualified opportunities to the respective Account Executive for product demonstrations and further follow-up. Lead sources will range from your individual cold-calling efforts, email marketing campaigns, webinar follow-ups, tradeshows and variety of other marketing activities. Strong sales and communication skills are required to be able to effectively communicate benefits at an executive level.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for a number of daily activities that build the sales pipeline, allowing Account Executives to turn those opportunities into revenue generating customers including:
โ€ข Cold-Call and follow-up on targeted lists or personally researched contacts to uncover and qualify opportunities.
โ€ข Clearly communicate the value proposition over the phone by thoroughly understanding the various Preparis offerings.
โ€ข Ensure qualified opportunities meet pre-determined standards, and set up next steps for Account Executives.
โ€ข Update CRM daily with completed activity and relative call information.
โ€ข Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet and exceed company goals and expectations.
โ€ข Actively participate in weekly conference calls and other meetings with the sales organization.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
โ€ข Minimum of 1-3 years of lead generation or business development experience.
โ€ข Passion for sales coupled with a proven ability to effectively and efficiently qualify prospects.
โ€ข Proficient with all MS Office products.
โ€ข CRM and /or Salesforce experience a plus.
โ€ข Communication Skills: Must have well-developed verbal and written communications skills.
