Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding new business opportunities that drive sustainable revenue growth for Eastroc USA. This role focuses on building strategic customer relationships, opening new distribution channels, and growing Eastroc's presence across specialty retail, multicultural markets, foodservice, hospitality, fitness, workplace, travel, education, entertainment, e-commerce, and other emerging channels.

The successful candidate will manage the full business development lifecycle—from prospecting and opportunity qualification to commercial negotiations, customer onboarding, launch execution, and ongoing account growth. This position requires a proactive, entrepreneurial sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building long-term customer partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across specialty retail, multicultural markets, foodservice, hospitality, workplace, fitness, travel, entertainment, education, and emerging distribution channels.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers, distributors, strategic partners, and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies that expand Eastroc USA's presence in Asian, international, multicultural, and specialty-market segments.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, sampling events, and business reviews to generate new customer opportunities.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pricing recommendations, and business presentations that align with company objectives and profitability goals.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate customer agreements through successful execution.
  • Evaluate new opportunities based on strategic fit, revenue potential, profitability, operational feasibility, investment requirements, and long-term growth potential.
  • Manage new customer onboarding and coordinate product launches with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop account growth plans that improve distribution, product assortment, promotional execution, and customer retention.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, opportunity tracking, and customer activity updates.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, customer insights, and market opportunities to support future business growth.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of commercial initiatives and customer commitments.
  • Transition mature accounts to the appropriate Key Account, Distribution, or Field Sales team when appropriate to support long-term account growth.
  • Represent Eastroc USA at customer meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to strengthen brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Channel Development, or Commercial Project Management.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong experience managing commercial negotiations and customer development activities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, business cases, and financial performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 30–40%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, retail, hospitality, wellness, or distribution industries.
  • Experience working with specialty retail, multicultural, Asian, international, or emerging market customers.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Experience managing distributor or channel partner relationships.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing or entrepreneurial business environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel approximately 30–40% within assigned territories.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds of product samples and marketing materials as needed.
  • Ability to attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Frequent driving and occasional overnight travel.
