What is a Business Development Manager at AVE? 

Outside Sales/Business Development Managers create demand and drive sales results for our fully furnished apartments. This role is ideal for senior-level sales professionals that are energized by fostering strong corporate relationships and providing solutions for their clients. Business Development Managers are skilled at independently generating leads, closing new corporate accounts, and building a book of business from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Heavy prospecting daily and owning geographic territory to identify new business opportunities
  • Provide guided tours of our state-of-the-art residential community to show our unique hospitality-driven service
  • Focus on networking and relationship-building to stay top-of-mind as a furnished housing solution to the relocation industry, with consultants, HR professionals, executive assistants, global mobility, and related fields in your market
  • Sell our flexible-stay solution to all industries including pharmaceuticals, technology, manufacturing, financial, insurance, retail, entertainment, and sports
  • Maintain and develop existing corporate relationships to expand opportunities
  • Plan, drive attendance for, and host on-site events to showcase our service
  • Report on status of pipeline and outreach with leadership and via CRM
  • Drive community and individual sales goals
  • Collaborate with management and on-site team to deliver first-class service to all partners, prospects, clients, and residents

Requirements 

  • 5 to 8+ years of proven outside sales/business development experience
  • Hospitality, travel, relocation, corporate housing, or multifamily industry experience strongly preferred
  • Sales hunter mentality
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Proven execution of successful business development strategies to uncover and close new corporate accounts
  • Tenacious and skilled at overcoming objections
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Possess a "yes" approach to customer service
  • Willingness to master and use a CRM, systems, and other sales tools (experience in ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and/or Zendesk Sell is a plus!)
  • Schedule flexibility in order to prioritize and pivot to business and client needs
  • Must have reliable source of transportation for required daily networking, outreach, and sales appointments

Compensation

  • $100,000-$125,000/year with bonuses paid out on a monthly basis

Individual compensation decisions will vary as the annual base compensation range provided is approximate and determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location. AVE also offers additional bonus potential paid out on a monthly and/or quarterly basis (dependent upon the position), which is not included in the base compensation range listed above.
