Job description

Together we fight for everyone's opportunity for a better financial future.
We will do this together - with customers, partners and colleagues. We will fight for others, not against: We will stand up for and champion everyone's access to opportunities. The status quo is not good enough ... we believe every individual and every community deserves access to financial opportunities. We are determined to support both individuals and communities in reaching a better financial future. We know that reaching this future depends on our actions today.
Like our Purpose Statement, Voya believes in being bold and committed to action. We are committed to a work environment where the differences that we are born with - and those we acquire throughout our lives - are understood, valued and intentionally pursued. We believe that our employees own our culture and have a responsibility to foster an environment where we all feel comfortable bringing our whole selves to work. Purposefully bringing our differences together to positively influence our culture, serve our clients and enrich our communities is essential to our vision.

Voya Wealth Management is expanding its presence in Boston's Seaport, and this role sits at the center of that growth.
As Sales Manager for the Investor Center, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of how Voya delivers wealth management guidance. This is an entrepreneur's opportunity for a leader who wants to develop people, deepen client relationships, and help scale a modern, fiduciary-focused advisory business.
You'll lead a team of financial advisors, with responsibility for advisor development, client experience, asset retention, and sales performance. More than managing outcomes, you'll help create the environment, mindset, and capabilities that drive long-term success for both clients and advisors.
This role is ideal for a leader who is energized by coaching others, building strong teams, and growing alongside the business.
Profile Description
Build Meaningful Client Experiences
  • Champion a discovery-first, consultative approach, helping advisors move beyond transactional interactions to trusted, long-term client partnerships
  • Coach advisors to consistently deliver Voya's fiduciary and advisory standards
  • Drive asset retention and sales growth by strengthening client relationships and improving client outcomes

Develop and Grow Your Advisors
  • Provide hands-on, personalized coaching aligned to each advisor's experience level, strengths, and career goals
  • Support advisors as they pursue additional licenses and professional development, reinforcing a culture of continuous learning
  • Create stretch opportunities that build confidence, capability, and career momentum
  • Act as a connector between individual advisor aspirations and broader organizational priorities

Lead, Improve, and Build What's Next
  • Operate with a business-owner mindset, identifying opportunities to improve performance, processes, and advisor effectiveness
  • Contribute to planning and strategic initiatives across the Investor Center as Voya continues to expand its wealth management footprint
  • Ensure strong oversight of compliance, call quality, documentation, and supervisory responsibilities in a fiduciary environment
  • Use data and performance insights to guide coaching, identify emerging talent, and inform decision-making

How We Work at Voya: Our Core 4
  • Customer Obsession - We put the customer at the center of every decision
  • Transform with AI & Automation - We continuously improve how work gets done through innovation
  • Drive Performance Through Our People - We invest in learning, growth, and putting the right people in the right roles
  • Execute on the Fundamentals - We lead with discipline, consistency, and attention to detail

Knowledge and Experience
We're looking for strong leadership potential and a growth mindset.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing teams in financial services, sales, or a related environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, develop talent, and improve team performance
  • Exposure to retirement, investment, or wealth management solutions, with interest in continuing to deepen expertise
  • Comfort operating in a regulated or fiduciary environment, or willingness to grow into this responsibility
  • Ability to translate business strategy into clear priorities and actionable coaching
  • A genuine passion for developing people and helping others succeed
  • A proactive, improvement-oriented mindset - you look for ways to make things better

Licensing and Credentials
  • FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 7, 66 or 63/65 and Series 9/10 and/or Series 24)
  • Voya supports leaders in obtaining, maintaining, or expanding required licenses as part of ongoing development

Education
  • A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred however; an appropriate amount of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
