Job description

Business Development Manager – Global Projects & EngineeringWho We Are & Why This Role Matters

At The Shaw Group, we shape the future of modular solutions for energy, chemicals, and sustainable technologies. As Business Development Manager – Global Projects & Engineering for Shaw Projects & Modules, you’ll drive growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing Engineering, EPF, and EPC opportunities while building strategic partnerships that strengthen Shaw’s market presence.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and deepen relationships with facility operators, technology licensors, project developers, and major EPC firms.
  • Source and develop new business via networking, prospecting, client meetings, trade events, and industry associations.
  • Represent Shaw at conferences, customer visits, and promotional events to elevate brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with Head of Sales and Strategic Account Managers to qualify Engineering, EPF, and EPC opportunities aligned to strategy.
  • Lead early vetting of potential projects and ensure pre-contract governance compliance.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and reporting in CRM (Zoho or equivalent).
  • Coordinate with operations and project execution teams to align scopes with technical capabilities and schedules.
  • Support proposal documentation, commercial exhibits, and milestone payment schedules.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–6 years in business development/sales/commercial roles within Engineering/EPC sectors.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills; comfort engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Understanding of project phases, EPC structures, contract terms, and risk management.
  • Proficiency with CRM (Zoho) and Microsoft Office; PowerPoint for client presentations.
  • Outgoing relationship-builder; collaborative and persistent.
  • Nice-to-have: Plant operations experience; connections in EPC; basics of chemical processes.

Location & Travel
