The Senior Project Development Manager – Energy Storage Technologies role at Ferrovial Energy is responsible for originating, developing, evaluating, acquiring, and advancing utility-scale energy storage opportunities across the U.S. and Canada. The role will focus on a broad range of storage technologies, including lithium-ion battery storage, thermal storage, iron-based storage, vanadium redox flow batteries, and other emerging short-duration and long-duration energy storage solutions. The position will support standalone storage, renewable-plus-storage hybrid projects, behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter applications, data center energy infrastructure solutions, and other strategic storage opportunities aligned with Ferrovial Energy’s growth objectives. The position will be based at the Ferrovial Energy US headquarters in Austin, TX, and reports to the Director, Project Development. You will work closely with the U.S. Development team, finance, M&A, engineering, commercial, legal, construction, asset management, and corporate strategy teams. The Senior Manager will identify and secure new sites, evaluate technology and market opportunities, lead commercial and technical due diligence, support acquisitions and partnership structures, build relationships with technology providers and developers, and prepare executive-level materials for investment decisions, business planning, and management updates. The goal is to build a differentiated energy storage pipeline that supports grid reliability, renewable integration, customer load growth, data center power needs, and long-term value creation for Ferrovial Energy.
