WESTPAK is looking for an experienced,entrepreneurial-mindedsales professional toestablishand grow our commercial presence as we launch our first East Coast laboratory in Northwest Boston. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in expanding one of the nation's most respected package testing laboratories into a newmarket.Theideal person will havea hunter mentality withprovenexperience ofopening doors with new clients,buildingexisting relationships,eliminatingcompetitor threats within our customer base, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Business Development & Account Manager will be a proactive and curious member of our sales team,identifyinggrowth opportunities for clients before a need or gap has beenstated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial success ofWESTPAK’s Northeast expansionby achieving quarterly and annual revenueobjectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customer stakeholders that increase customer loyalty, expand wallet share, and position WESTPAK as a trusted long-term testingpartner.
  • Prioritizein-person meetings with new and existing clients to strengthen relationships,identifyopportunities, anddemonstratehow WESTPAK can support their testing and validationneeds.
  • Logall activity and customer information into Salesforce CRM.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the customer and act as the bridge for operations, finance, and other business departments.
  • Prepare sales reports andforecasts,asrequired.
  • Develop new business opportunities by building and expanding your professional network through industry conferences, trade shows, local events, referrals, and digital outreach.
  • Operate with a high degree ofautonomy while collaborating cross-functionally to drive the long-term success of your territory.
  • Create detailed sales business plans & customer presentations.
  • Driveleads and opportunities through the process of gettingWESTPAK ontothe Approved Vendor List,generating RFQs, and advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline.

Requirements for Eligibility
  • Abachelor’s degree in businessor related fields is preferred.
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and data managementskills.
  • Proficientin MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook),andSalesforce CRM.
  • 5+ years of related sales experience and/ordemonstratedaccount management capability.
  • Experience selling into the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Packaging, or Life Sciences industries isastrong plus.
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers within the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Packaging industries are a strong plus.
  • Past track record of meeting or exceeding sales budgets consistently year over year.
  • Business-to-businesssales experience isrequired.
  • Ability to travel up to50%ofthe time; some overnight travelmay berequired.
  • Must be energized and self-motivated andbe able to workindependently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • You mustpossessavalidunrestricted driver’s license and have a reliable driving record.
  • Requires initial onsite training at our main labs in California with ongoing work arrangements to be determined based on role requirements.
