Job description

7L by Freightos digitizes domestic and international rate management, quoting & booking for over 300 of North America’s logistics providers and carriers. Or, in plain English, we help move the world, offering incredible technology that simplifies the working life of the people who help get the goods we all use wherever they need to go.

We’re not alone either. 7LFreight is a proud part of Freightos (Nasdaq: CRGO), the global booking and payment platform for the trillion-dollar freight industry. Hundreds of airlines and ocean liners, thousands of freight companies, and over ten thousand importers and exporters use our platform to move goods around the world faster and more efficiently. This matters. Efficient freight ultimately makes things cost a little bit less when you buy them in the store.

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll bring that crucial industry know-how to the table. We don't expect you to have checked every single box, but you should have a solid, foundational understanding of how the freight and logistics puzzle fits together. Ideally, your background looks something like this:

  • From the Freight Forwarding World: You know the ins and outs of export, import, or domestic logistics across air, ocean, or ground freight—whether you gained that experience in sales or operations.
  • From Logistics Service Providers: Maybe you’ve worked directly with airlines, trucking companies (LTL/FTL), ocean carriers, or handled the daily hustle at terminals, docks, and warehouses.
  • From Logistics Tech: Or perhaps you come from the software side, helping supply chain and logistics companies digitize their operations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll balance high-level business development strategy with a lot of hands-on, day-to-day grit. Here is what your focus will look like:

  • Hunt for New Business: You'll proactively identify and pursue fresh opportunities through smart prospecting, cold outreach, and active networking.
  • Own the Pitch: You'll schedule and conduct engaging meetings to show prospective clients exactly how our platform can make their lives easier.
  • Sell Responsively: We lean into consultative selling, which means you'll dive deep into client pain points, understand their unique business operations, and tailor our solution to fit.
  • Master the Platform: You'll become an expert on our SaaS platform so you can seamlessly showcase its value and handle any question that comes your way.
  • Onboard & Retain: You'll guide new users through training so they comfortably adopt the platform, while keeping an eye on account management and upsell opportunities.
  • Represent the Brand: You'll hit the road to represent us at key industry conferences, trade shows, and regional networking events.

Requirements:

About You

Requirements

  • Whether you're typing up an email or chatting live, your English communication skills need to be absolutely top-notch.
  • You have at least 2+ years of experience hunting for new business and successfully upselling existing accounts.
  • You are just as comfortable building relationships over phone and video calls as you are pitching face-to-face.
  • You have the training skills needed to help new users embrace a brand-new, tech-driven way of booking freight.
  • You're a proactive, results-oriented professional who thrives when given the independence to meet and exceed targets.
  • Speaking of colleagues, we love team players. Which team doesn’t? You’ll fit right in if you love collaborating.
  • You are based in and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

If you want to score some extra bonus points, it’s a massive plus if you have...

  • Deep knowledge of the air cargo, LTL, or freight forwarding industries.
  • Experience working within an online transactional business (like a tech company driven by price-per-transaction revenue).
  • Direct experience selling SaaS platforms.
  • Bilingual capabilities or previous experience navigating a global company culture.

Benefits:

Pay: $70K annually + variable

Paid Holidays, Unlimited Paid Time Off, 100% Company-paid Health Insurance, 401K enrollment eligibility after 90 days, and a company match is available after one year of employment.

Schedule:

M-F 9-5 EST hours per day.

Location: Dallas, Texas, or other cities in Texas; open to Central or East Coast time zones.

Freightos is an equal opportunity employer, committed to treating all potential employees fairly and ensuring equal opportunities for everyone.
