Your Role at Delta Faucet
Delta Faucet Company is seeking a Manager, Research and Development Electronics Engineering to be part of our Advanced Research and Development Team. If you have a passion for aggressive and ambiguous problem solving in an energetic and collaborative environment, this is a great fit for you. You will be at the very front end of how consumers interact with water and help craft digital solutions that transform new concepts from ideas to products. This position will lead a small, agile team of Firmware and Electrical Engineers. You will collaborate with both the innovation explorers and the product engineers who will bring new products to market. This is both a hands-on working and leadership role, with everyone working alongside each other to flexibly find solutions and get tasks done. You should have extensive practical experience with embedded electronic systems, including sourcing and compliance, and be ready to create foundational platforms for Delta Faucet's for digital future. This position will report to the Senior Director of Advanced Research and Development.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Partner and influence cross functional partners to drive transformation for our digital future, ensuring we have high quality, repeatable processes and systems.
  • Lead the research and development of our electronic systems, ensuring that they meet customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of digital solutions, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Develop transformational process/technology/roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Drive innovation in digital systems design and architecture to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement standard processes for digital systems development, including design, testing, and documentation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend new tools and methodologies to improve our development process.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant engineering degrees.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in new product development, R&D, sustaining or another relevant field. Familiarity with standard product development tools, including DFMEA.
  • Experience managing code repository systems and application programming interfaces.
  • Extensive experience in design, development, testing, and implementation of embedded digital systems, including hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols, both wired and wireless, and overall digital systems integration.
  • Experience with mentoring and coaching colleagues with their skill and career growth. Previous managerial experience preferred.
  • Hands-on self-starter with the ability to take initiative to maintain project schedules.
