Job description

VG Systems, LLC is seeking an entry-level Tier 1 Business Development (BD) Analyst to support early-stage opportunity review and capture activities. This role focuses on Go/No-Go Gate 1 analysis and coordination, including presenting findings to Tier 2 counterparts on the BD team. This position requires a basic understanding of business development concepts and strong attention to process and documentation.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Go/No-Go Gate 1 activities by gathering and reviewing initial opportunity information.
  • Conduct preliminary research on opportunities, customers, and competitors.
  • Prepare and present Gate 1 findings to Tier 2 BD team members.
  • Assist with tracking opportunities in BD pipelines and internal systems.
  • Support documentation related to capture decisions and BD reviews.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to assigned BD tasks.
  • Ensure SOPs remain current and accurately reflect job responsibilities and workflows.
  • Collaborate with BD team members to ensure timely and accurate information flow.


Requirements:

  • Entry-level position; prior BD experience is not required.
  • Basic knowledge of business development concepts preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
