About Us

Ideal Siding is a fast-growing exterior renovation franchise operating across Canada and the United States. Through our expanding franchise network, we provide high-quality siding and exterior renovation solutions while supporting franchisees with systems, marketing, training, and growth initiatives.
We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help grow our franchise network through strategic partnerships, vendor programs, revenue-generating initiatives, and industry relationships.
About the Role

The Business Development Manager will identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships that create value for our franchisees and generate additional revenue opportunities for Ideal Siding Franchising.
This is not a passive account-management or vendor-administration role. It is a high-autonomy business-building role for a commercially minded professional who enjoys researching markets, opening doors, creating opportunities, and turning relationships into measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of national and regional partnership opportunities.
  • Research target industries, companies, executives, and decision-makers.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, associations, and industry events.
  • Develop partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, restoration companies, financing providers, software companies, HR/payroll providers, retailers, associations, insurers, and other relevant organizations.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate pricing, rebates, sponsorships, referrals, training, co-marketing, and other value-added programs.
  • Coordinate internally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance, Legal, and franchisees to launch and grow programs.
  • Drive franchisee awareness and adoption of partnership programs.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM records, follow-up schedules, forecasts, and performance reporting.
  • Represent Ideal Siding professionally at partner meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

What Success Looks Like

  • A healthy, prioritized pipeline of strategic opportunities with clear next steps.
  • Consistent executive-level meetings and new partnership discussions.
  • Signed agreements that produce qualified leads, rebates, sponsorships, cost savings, training, or operational value.
  • Pilot programs that are launched, measured, improved, and expanded.
  • Strong franchisee adoption and positive feedback about program value.
  • Clear reporting on pipeline activity, commercial outcomes, and realized value.
Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, B2B sales, vendor relations, national accounts, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities rather than rely only on inbound leads or an established book of business.
  • Strong research, prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
  • Comfort engaging senior executives and navigating complex organizations.
  • Commercial judgment: naturally asks how an opportunity creates revenue, savings, leads, or scalable value.
  • Independent, organized, persistent, curious, coachable, and accountable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Disciplined use of CRM tools and pipeline management practices.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States.
  • Vancouver-area hybrid work is preferred; remote work within Canada may be considered.
  • Helpful But Not Required
    • Experience in construction, home services, franchising, building materials, restoration, or distribution.
    • Existing manufacturer, supplier, or service-provider relationships.
    • Experience with rebate, referral, sponsorship, co-marketing, or preferred-vendor programs.
    • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.

What We Offer

  • The OTE compensation includes a base salary + performance-based incentive tied to measurable outcomes such as partnership revenue, qualified leads, franchisee savings, signed agreements, and program adoption.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment.
  • Extended health benefits package, including dental and vision care.
  • Opportunity to work directly with franchise leadership.
  • Career growth within a rapidly expanding North American franchise network.
  • Meaningful impact on franchisee growth, partner strategy, and long-term business development.

Flexible work from home options available.
