Bachelor's Degree Required to Apply

Katapult Network is designed to help college graduates with zero to two years of professional experience find their next professional career opportunity. We focus on helping recent college graduates, with no experience, get access to full-time, entry-level opportunities with some of the Nation’s top employers. The Job: Business Development Associate

This is a great opportunity for recent graduates who enjoy talking with people, building connections, and working toward goals. Previous professional sales experience is not required.

In this role, you'll learn how to prospect for new business, connect with potential customers, understand their needs, and develop relationships that create long-term opportunities. You'll receive hands-on training while building experience in sales, business development, customer relationships, and account growth.

What You Will Be Doing As A Business Development Associate:

  • Prospect for new business opportunities through phone, email, referrals, networking, and other outreach
  • Make outbound calls to introduce the company and connect with prospective customers

  • Qualify prospective customers and identify opportunities for continued conversations
  • Follow up consistently with leads and prospective accounts throughout the sales process
  • Support existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for account growth
  • Learn company products and services in order to confidently communicate value to customers
  • Maintain accurate prospect, customer, and sales activity within company systems
  • Collaborate with sales and account teams to develop new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships
  • Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and professional development

What We’re Looking For In a Business Development Associate:

  • Relationship Building: Enjoys meeting new people, starting conversations, and developing professional relationships
  • Initiative: Comfortable reaching out to prospective customers and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come in
  • Communication: Clear, confident, and professional when speaking and writing with customers
  • Goal Oriented: Motivated by progress and enjoys working toward individual and team goals
  • Resilience: Able to handle rejection, learn from it, and continue moving forward
  • Curiosity: Interested in learning about different customers, businesses, products, and industries
  • Coachability: Open to feedback and excited to develop professional sales and business development skills

Requirements to be a Business Development Associate:

  • Bachelor's degree
