Position: Business Development Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Analyst is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives and enhancing profitability by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities in global markets. Additionally supporting strategic product positioning and promoting industry engagement, to enable Amphenol to maintain its competitive edge and continued leadership in the technology sector. The responsibilities include strategic development, new business acquisition, and product integration.

High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world’s IT and datacom; including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in the engineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds, and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an employee.

The Business Development Analyst’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Development and Execution
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, providing insights and analysis on key issues.
    • Create and oversee the implementation of a growth plan for CBS, focused on increasing top line and profitability.
    • Drive the value proposition of CBS and ensure alignment with market needs.
    • Lead strategic initiatives such as manufacturing transfers, sourcing improvements, market exploration, and sustainability efforts.
  • New Business Development
    • Drive new business development by identifying new markets, customers, and expanding opportunities within Amphenol’s existing customer base.
  • Market Expansion
    • Explore new regions, customers, and market trends to expand CBS’s market presence.
    • Promote CBS products and technologies through effective web presence, positioning, and market studies.
    • Organize and lead initiatives for product and technology promotion to ensure visibility and market penetration.
    • Attend industry events to advocate for CBS’s product lines and engage with potential customers.
    • Drive initiatives for sustainability and continuous improvement within the product lines and market approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Analysis or Business Development, ideally within a connector or cable company.
  • Extensive experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Experience leading global projects
  • Strong capabilities in enhancing operational efficiency and making improvements that increase profitability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an asset, but not required.
