Job description

The LOA - Business Development provides direct operational, marketing, and business development support to mortgage loan originators. This role helps loan officers maintain consistent communication with borrowers and referral partners, and support marketing and relationship development initiatives that drive mortgage production.

Acting as an extension of the loan officer, this position assists with borrower communication, database management, marketing coordination, and business development outreach, allowing loan officers to focus on originating and closing loans.

Core Responsibilities

Communication & Client Support

  • Maintain communication with pre-approved clients to ensure readiness as they search for homes
  • Coordinate borrower and referral partner meetings and maintain organized calendars in partnership with the loan officer

Marketing & Event Support

  • Assist loan officers in creating marketing materials such as flyers, presentations, and promotional content using the Key Mortgage marketing platform (MAXA)
  • Help gather and organize content for presentations, workshops, and networking events
  • Manage event attendee lists including invitations, RSVPs, and attendance tracking
  • Coordinate pre- and post-event communication with attendees and maintain contact records within CRM systems

Business Development Support

  • Assist loan officers in identifying and researching potential referral partners including real estate agents and other industry professionals
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, and social media to help schedule meetings and introductions
  • Track outreach activities and maintain prospect pipelines within CRM platforms
  • Support ongoing engagement with referral partners and prospects

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in administrative support, client service, marketing, mortgage, real estate, or a related field required
  • Knowledge of the mortgage, lending, or real estate industry required
  • NMLS license preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and build professional relationships with clients and referral partners
  • Experience with CRM systems, Google Workspace, and marketing platforms (such as MAXA) preferred, with the ability to create marketing materials, track outreach efforts, and support events
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and support loan officers in business development activities
Salary Range
  • $42,000 - 50,000 + bonus incentive
