Job description

We Are:

Accenture's Mid-Market Activation team is the strategic growth engine for our subsidiary ecosystem. We design and execute go-to-market strategies that enable our sales teams, engage mid-market clients, and drive revenue across a diverse portfolio of subsidiary companies. We operate at the intersection of strategy, sales, and execution - and we are looking for exceptional business development leaders to help us identify, pursue, and close net new Accenture opportunities in the mid-market through channel-led motions.

You Are:

A high-impact Business Development Account Executive with a proven track record of originating and closing net new business in mid-market environments. You combine strategic vision with relentless execution, and you are energized by the challenge of building new client relationships and expanding Accenture's footprint across subsidiary and mid-market segments. You bring strong commercial instincts, a hunter mentality, and the gravitas to engage senior stakeholders with credibility and conviction.

The Work:

  • Originate and develop net new business opportunities for Accenture across mid-market and subsidiary client segments.

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new logo and expansion opportunities, with a focus on accounts where Accenture has limited or no existing presence.

  • Design and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage new mid-market prospects and convert them into active opportunities.

  • Partner with Client Group Leads, Solution Architects, and GTM teams to develop compelling value propositions and proposals for net new pursuits.

  • Represent Accenture at industry events, forums, and client-facing engagements to build brand awareness and generate new business leads.

  • Maintain rigorous pipeline discipline: track, forecast, and report on net new opportunity progress to Mid-Market Activation leadership.

  • Develop deep understanding of mid-market client needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends to sharpen Accenture's business development approach.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Accenture's mid-market go-to-market strategy and business development playbook.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 50% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, account management, sales leadership, or new logo acquisition in a consulting, technology, or professional services environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of originating and closing significant net new business in mid-market or multi-subsidiary environments, preferably $500K+ ARR deals or more

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus Points If:

  • You have worked in a high velocity channel sales environment where internal teams own the relationship and you are supporting with a skills development-based product set.

  • You have experience working inside a large organization where multiple teams are selling a variety of products and services to the same accounts.

  • You have built net new business development capabilities from scratch in a high-growth environment.

  • You have experience leveraging ecosystem and channel partners to generate and accelerate net new pipeline.

Professional Experience:

  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong external network and the ability to build new client relationships quickly and credibly, with demonstrated experience engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders.
