WAM Maximo Developer (Work and Asset Management) will be responsible for technical support of NJR's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). This includes supporting and developing current and future state architectures, solutions design, providing guidance, and sharing best practices to the technical and functional teams while working closely with business partners. The WAM Maximo Developer will be responsible for development and support throughout the entire application lifecycle including the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of IBM Maximo application. The WAM Maximo Developer will assist in developing standards and practices that involve day-to-day operations of the WAM and MWM development teams. Ideally, the WAM Maximo Developer will have a solid understanding of business operations, IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies along with communication, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Utilize industry-leading practices and methodologies to architect, design, develop, and support application solutions utilizing the IBM Maximo platform and associated frameworks and technologies.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop and support integration interfaces with enterprise applications such as GIS, Oracle ERP, SAP C4C, and Clevest using Web Services, REST/SOAP, and other Maximo Integration Framework capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and support Maximo application enhancements such as database configurations, workflow processes, application configurations, automation scripts, MBO Customizations and BIRT reports.
  • Provide production support to troubleshoot day-to-day incidents and resolve application, interface, workflow, reporting, data integrity and any application issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, user guides, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Continuously improve technical and professional skills through active mentoring and training.
  • Build and maintain strong relations within Business and IT Leaders, stakeholders across various business units.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and customizing IBM Maximo (7.x) EAM solutions and related applications
  • Proven experience utilizing the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) to integrate with enterprise systems
  • Strong expertise in developing complex, custom BIRT reports
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing workflow processes within the IBM Maximo platform
  • Highly organized work approach with strong attention to detail and excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience providing guidance and applying best practices for deploying and configuring IBM Maximo EAM in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with implementing Maximo Scheduler and Work Centers
  • Experience with technical frameworks including Informatica iPaaS, ETL processes, and RabbitMQ
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud-native technologies
  • Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8
  • Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/WAM) and Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), including architecture and implementation, particularly within the utilities industry
  • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols such as SSO, SAML, and OAuth

Other Details:

Job Location type: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $92,500- $125,000.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
